Job Description

SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Principal for Academic Affairs Integrations, the Coordinator for Academic Affairs Integrations provides supports for the operational and transitional business needs in relation to the Academic Affairs integrations project and assists with specific projects as needed in support of various functions within the Provost’s Office. The Coordinator manages the Principal’s calendar, prepares content for meetings and presentations, and provides additional support to the Office of the Provost.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide administrative support, schedule appointments, and maintain the Principal for Academic Affairs Integrations calendar.
  • Coordinate, implement, and control general and special projects ; ensure timely completion.
  • Support the Principal’s work with relevant campus stakeholders in the implementation of academic policies and procedures as needed on areas including curriculum, accreditation, assessment, advising and undergraduate education, faculty affairs and development, institutional effectiveness, and special programs for underserved populations.
  • Provide assistance to the office staff working on Middles States Accreditation and the Montclair-Bloomfield merger.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-team support staff on scheduling meetings and related tasks.
  • Support the review of workflow processes relating to AA Integrations and recommend areas of improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with business units across the University to ensure that established goals are met.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive recordkeeping pertaining to integrations and special projects
  • Assist in the administration of business processes within the Office of the Provost as needed.
  • Work with other office units on their operating needs, including but not limited to Academic Personnel Services, Curriculum, Academic Programs and Assessment, and Hispanic Initiatives, as needed.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and background.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud applications such as Workday.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people of varied backgrounds and a commitment to inclusion.
  • Ability to work with cross-unit teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

PREFERRED:

  • Master’s degree from accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated understanding of excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent skills in project management.
