JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director leads a team that is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies, campaigns and plans across all Marketing. This team is responsible for integrating and connecting work streams, including acquisition, upgrade and retention strategies and plans, as well as connecting marketing channels. This leader drives cohesion across the campaigns and programs of the Marketing department in order to drive customer growth, sales and results across all product lines. The Senior Director, Marketing Planning reports to the the Vice President, Marketing Planning & Operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for strategy, execution, analysis and optimization of integrated marketing programs and campaigns. Works with business partners across Marketing including creative strategy, direct marketing, media, digital, database marketing and marketing enablement to ensure the flawless execution of integrated marketing campaigns from inception through post campaign analysis.
  • Collaborates with business partners outside of Marketing including Sales Operations, Marketing Analytics, and Market Research to connect workstreams and to understand customer behavior, triggers and metrics. Recommends, plans and executes campaigns that are effective, on time, and on budget.
  • Leads the planning and execution of strategy, tactics and measurement for integrated marketing campaigns enterprise wide to drive sales and results across all product lines.
  • Develops metrics for success; works with analytics and data teams to create marketing campaign measurement reporting and analysis. Requires a deep understanding of how systems work and how to get at data to drive analysis.
  • Forecasts performance, identifies opportunities to improve results, enhance contact strategy or extend reach. Meets or outperforms metric goals.
  • Works with teams across the Marketing organization including Multi-cultural Marketing, Database Marketing, Marketing Communications & Retention, Creative Strategy, Digital, Media and Direct Marketing to develop marketing plans and facilitate metrics and reporting to analyze performance and to drive marketing efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Identifies areas of opportunity for new programs and campaigns. Drives marketing ROI through innovative tactics, reporting and process improvements.
  • Creates, adjusts or maintains processes to ensure flawless but flexible execution, driving down expenses and reducing speed to market. Identifies, implements and enhances processes and tools to support integrated campaigns and plans.
  • Manages a high-performing team of marketing experts that can provide the organization with world class experience, knowledge, execution and overall marketing leadership.
  • Implements strategic and operational processes making time, information, and decision processes more effective.
  • Supports the Marketing team with other duties and projects as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Requires a successful track record of developing and executing integrated, strategic plans, managing and executing marketing projects, strong project management skills, superior analytical and technical expertise and a demonstrated ability to lead.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Expertise in mass, digital and/or direct marketing planning at an executive level
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically
  • Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
  • Ability to present to executive management
  • Ability to work independently and develop recommendations autonomously
  • Ability to manage all phases of multiple projects from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to mine, analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise
  • Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to manage and foster change

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Direct, mass and/or digital marketing experience 10+

Marketing Analytics 10+

Project Management 10+

Leadership of Marketing teams 5+

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the connectivity and telecommunications category including broadband internet, mobile, streaming and/or relevant products and services a plus
