JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • University/college degree in related field. A combination of work experience and education can be substituted
  • 3-5 years professional experience directing camera crews and knowledge in social media content production and digital or TV/film/commercial production
  • Strong interest in content creation, creative production, project management, problem-solving
  • Experience working directly with clients to scope/create estimates and manage budgets
  • Ability to schedule, prioritize and multitask with an excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with union and licensing regulations in different geographic locations
  • Strong understanding of Photography, Videography, Animation & CGI workflow and related practices, as well as an understanding of organic social media content best practices
  • Understanding of live-action shoots, planning and production techniques
  • Good knowledge of project management systems and procedures
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Practical understanding of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat
  • Willingness and ability to travel for work-related events

JOB DUTIES

  • *Take in client brief and strategies – asking the right questions to fully understand the scope of their requirements and clearly define required deliverables
  • *Create estimate for scope of work including key considerations and critical assumptions, taking into consideration all logistics of project (budget, accurate timings/resourcing, and travel considerations), to maximize profitability
  • Contact production companies or freelance crews to secure estimates for job
  • Effective negotiation of commercial, financial, and contractual arrangements where required, managing and developing relationships with external suppliers/resources and outsourcing
  • Evaluate job profitability at the beginning, throughout and at the end of projects, flagging any issues or overruns through the creation and upkeep of asset trackers; ensure that overruns are covered through gaining additional budgets where appropriate
  • Fully understand our products and services portfolio (integrated productions and services) to ensure that clients are offered the best solutions in terms of budgetary, schedule and creative
  • Work closely with the account teams to oversee the end-to-end process from pre-production through to post-production and delivery of final assets
  • *Collaboration on calendar management and scheduling of multiple shoots concurrently
  • Schedule and lead creative Kick-off Call with client and production company/crew
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager, Creative Services and Producer, create pre-production documents, shot-lists, storyboards, write scripts and secure client approval
  • Explain in-detail the production and post-production practices in relation to a production workflow, to educate the client and to inform them of potential limitations or decision points along the pipeline
  • *Manage client expectations and operate as a liaison between the client and internal/external staff
  • *Oversee/direct creative production on shoot day on the virtual studio or in-person
  • *Proactively manage the project scope to ensure successful delivery, providing direction and/or clarification of project goals through the creation and maintenance of clear job documentation, including reporting on job performance on completion
  • Review and then put into action the evaluation of a job once complete, helping to implement improvements within the company’s framework based on these findings

Per state requirements, this posting reflects the salary range for this position for the following:

New York based individual: $95000 Minimum $105000 Maximum per annum
