WHAT YOU’LL DO

Braze is looking for a Senior Director of Industry Marketing to lead positioning and cross-functional Industry marketing campaigns at Braze. This role is reporting into the Vice President, Strategic Consulting and sits adjacent to Business Value Consulting and Creative Consulting. Our team is part of the wider Marketing, GTM Strategy and Operations Department. This is a net new role and will be critical to establishing our wider industry Motion here at Braze. 

We’re looking for a seasoned professional at Industry Marketing who has experience across a variety of industries and SaaS experience (Preference for those who have Financial Services). As a new function leader, you will be responsible for shaping both strategic vision and executional plans for Industry Campaigns. You will work across the Chief Business and GTM Organization to shape Industry deliverables needed cross-functionally. 

Strategic Collaboration and Thought Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior Sales and Chief Business Officer (CBO) leadership teams to craft positioning and messaging for key Braze industries. Ensure positioning and message consistency across regions and brand touchpoints. 
  • Establish thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and client interactions
  • Partner with Marketing teams to define the scope and cadence of content delivery for broader industry campaigns. 
  • Work closely with the Enablement & Productivity to develop a phased industry enablement program for the GTM teams
  • Co-create tailored industry solutions to specific industry challenges in collaboration with the Product Marketing teams

Operational Effectiveness: 

  • Develop processes and ways of working for cross-functional teams with CBO & GTM Chief of Staffs. 
  • Partner with Enablement & Productivity team to develop certifications and key training materials for sales teams 
  • Develop the role of the Industry SME at Braze as well as roles, responsibilities and competencies 
  • Weekly report on key industry opportunities, trends and insights from current and upcoming sales cycles. 

Client Consultation and Solution Customization:

  • Leverage executive presence and influence to effectively engage and advise Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and other top executives.
  • Develop bespoke marketing solutions for prospects & customers leveraging Braze’s platform to drive digital transformation.

Product and Service Innovation:

  • Develop product recommendations for upcoming product cycles that unlock opportunities within focal industries. 
  • Collaborate with Braze Product teams to identify and address product gaps to expand the Total Addressable Market (TAM) while ensuring compliance.

Financial Industry Expertise and Insight:

  • Act as Braze’s primary expert on financial industry trends, regulatory environments, and emerging fintech innovations.
  • Provide strategic insights to inform product development and client solutions specific to the financial sector.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 12-15 years Industry Marketing experience preferably in SaaS. 
  • Extensive experience in financial services marketing or a related field 
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing industry-specific marketing strategies
  • Excellent presentation and written skills (Proficient in keynote and/or google slides) 
  • Strong background in customer engagement technologies and digital marketing.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Role is global in scope and will require moderate travel

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $192,000 and $208,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $240,000 and $260,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
