The HR Program Director will:

  1. Provide general leadership and oversight related to HR programs, projects, and planning. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects. Provides direction and guidance on creation of project deliverables
  2. Provide direction and guidance to project managers throughout the project life cycle to facilitate implementation of the business systems/processes to the business, as well as the metrics for reporting to senior executive team on business case ROI. Responsible for quality and management of major projects or programs
  3. Lead project planning, requirement gathering, scheduling and work planning, communication, issue resolution, cost tracking, financial reporting, and change management. Ensure delivered projects meet design specifications and quality standards and get completed in a timely manner
  4. Develop standard reporting and oversee and monitor integration progress. Own workflow processes and related process improvements. Identify project risks/gaps and create risk mitigation plans. Manage change and promote the continuous improvement of project management-related processes
  5. Review project proposals/ plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Be involved in the process of selecting the project management methodology that best aligns with the mission and vision of the project and HR Team. Proactively identify, analyze, and recommend business systems/process solutions to senior management that have broad business impact
  6. Deliver presentations and executive summaries to senior management to provide recommendations and status updates on initiatives. Garner support for project management standards from the executive sponsor and steering committee and ensure key stakeholders have representation within the project governance organization. Actively engage in change management principles to foster an optimal end result
  7. Assemble cross-functional integration teams and assign individual responsibilities. Provide project leadership, work direction, and feedback
  8. Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of projects and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project staff
  9. Create opportunities to drive organizational readiness related to the project. Act as an ambassador to share project scope and milestones to create awareness
  10. Objectively evaluate performance and provide timely/ actionable development feedback. Engage in post-action review to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  11. Other duties as assigned

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required in Healthcare Management, Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10 years’ experience driving HR strategic program implementation and/or HR project management in larger, more complex organizations. Subject matter expertise in one or more Human Resources areas, including diversity, performance development, succession planning, total rewards, and/or client service delivery required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expert-level PowerPoint/MS Office skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects/proposals simultaneously within assigned department/division and to persuade and negotiate with peer-level department heads/with external agencies/facilities on issues and programs that impact assigned department as well as several other large departments/divisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC-based software applications and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data
  • Demonstrated ability to lead QI/ process improvement activities
  • Knowledge and experience with process improvement principles usually obtained through formal training and application of Lean/ Six Sigma training programs is preferred
