Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This role is focused on delivering Kuiper services in India.

We are looking for a talented India Operations Lead who is ready to take charge of business planning and support our strategy for our market entry plans in India. As one of our key team members, you will be obsessed with both a commercial focus and matching our standards for operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization with teams across the globe in multiple time zones and be adept at understanding how business and residential customers work in India. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technologically savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in consumer related products or services. You will be responsible for negotiating contract terms and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to develop country planning for partnerships and operations. Help onboard our partners and make them successful. Knowledge of working in the telecommunications or field services sectors would be an advantage. This is a high visibility role with frequent opportunities to interact with and present to leadership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving process improvements, implementing industry best-practices, and be comfortable driving strategy while operationalizing that vision.

Key job responsibilities

1. Develop data driven strategy and detailed planning for in-country operations in India

2. Manage end-to-end service delivery for all in-country operations, including but not limited to inventory management, distribution, professional installation, field operations, and customer support.

3. Establish key operational performance metrics, define business requirements for operational tools/systems, implement tracking and reporting mechanisms, and continuously optimize operational performance metrics.

4. Review historical sales and subscriber forecasts, research demand drivers, analyze forecast data, validate and optimize assumptions, and translate forecasts into operational plans and requirements (i.e., inventory management, delivery, installation, service calls, support).

5. Partner with global planning, forward logistics, and reverse logistics teams to optimize regional inventory allocation, local inventory placement, storage capacity, and fulfilment processes.

6. Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimizing costs and deliver a fantastic customer experience.

7. Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data, and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders.

8. Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • 10+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 10+ years of experience launching and scaling new technology products, services, or businesses

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1. Experience thinking and working creatively to develop unique joint value propositions and product strategy within a partner ecosystem
  • 2.10+ years in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription services
