Troon (Premier Golf) Corporate headquarters in Seattle, Washington is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Junior Accountant with our Customer Finance team. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon (Premier Golf).

General Purpose:

Facilitates limited oversight activities by collecting month-end financial reports and updating the corresponding files. Also maintains daily bank reconciliations on behalf of the Shared Accounting group and facilitates Accounts Payable processes along with the Shared Accountants. This position is located at our Troon (Premier Golf) Corporate headquarters in Seattle (Interbay), WA.

Junior Accountant – Shared Accounting

  • Manages the Property Accounting inbox, including creating rules, as well as collecting Financial Statements and related data.
  • Provides support and service to our customers, including General Managers and our corporate Operations team.
  • Works with the Shared Accountant for all assigned clubs to ensure accurate and timely cash reporting.
  • Accurately assign invoices to business owners/managers for approval.
  • Review and process a high volume of invoices across many different legal entities.
  • Prepares weekly reimbursement packages for assigned clubs.
  • Monitors accounts receivable, and daily cash and coordinates with
  • Director, Customer Finance on weekly disbursement selections.
  • Performs check runs and electronic payments.
  • Reconciles various accounts.
  • Prepares monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Manages vendor inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Reports positive pay information to ensure proper fraud detection is available to our
  • clients.
  • Assists in the annual 1099 processing and audit requests.
  • Saves information to the individual property folders on our local network.
  • Maintain supply inventory and order as necessary.
  • Assists with special projects as necessary.
  • Enforces established policies and procedures for the accounts payable function.
  • May perform tasks related to limited-scope internal audits.
  • May complete Shared Accountant responsibilities on a limited number of clubs (4-5).
  • May assist with tax preparation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent; or a minimum of one year’s related experience
  • and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently sits, and uses hands to finger, feel, or handle. Reaches with arms, talks, or hears.
  • Occasionally stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
  • Occasionally lifts to 25 pounds.
  • Typical office environment

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hospitality and customer service focused.
  • Must be able to successfully partner with remote teams.
  • Technical proficiency (GAAP / accrual-based accounting methods).
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organization and decision-making abilities.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required, with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to read and speak English is required to perform the duties of the job (e.g.,
  • The associates are required to communicate with English-speaking customers or coworkers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 is highly desired and QuickBooks is a plus

Benefits & Compensation:

  • Pay ranges from $22/hr - $32/hr plus eligible for bonus maximum potential $2000 per year.
