DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute the data consumption platform’s product roadmap to integrate customer decisions, interactions and preferences into the core data warehouse, enabling databased decisions across marketing, finance, field operations and strategic planning. Use input from stakeholders and users to propose insights, which drive product development opportunities. Use investigation, independent research, and relationship building, to source the key data elements across the organization, map the data to current data models, and design requirements for future engineering development. Create proof-of-concept data products and associated data models, definitions and metadata documentation, utilizing modern semantic web principles and defined vocabularies. Devise and implement data quality methodology to ensure consistency, accuracy and validation of the data delivered to consumption platforms. Explain and convert complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences at various levels of the business. Drive a backlog of dataset design and development. Maintain and refine product backlog through consistent agile ceremonies and events. Develop and maintain documentation required to ensure consistency and high quality of data for even the most rigorously controlled use cases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Math, Economics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect, Business Analyst, Oracle Developer, IT Associate, Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Math, Economics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Domain Architect, Business Analyst, Oracle Developer, IT Associate, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: SQL; Python; Business processes leveraging tools, such as Visio; Data modeling, including dimensional models and logical data models; Data products, such as refinement of raw investment data; Product operating model; Application of Agile principles; Semantic layers; Content Design Documents; Storing data in enterprise level systems; Querying relational databases with 1B+ rows with complex joins, including Inner Join, Left outer Join, Right Outer join, Full outer Joins, and Unions; Public-cloud platform with AWS; Data warehouse test plans utilizing SQL; Data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes utilizing Alteryx, Python, or SQL; Technical documentation, including API documentation, end-user documentation of product features, and mapping of source data elements; Communication of technical matters to an executive audience; Product ownership; Product planning; Product discovery; and product development processes.

Job Location: 450 W 33rd St., New York, NY 10001. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $143,600.00-$165,000.00 per year.
