POSITION DETAILS

As part of the administrative team, the Administrative Executive Officer reports directly to the Vice President for the Division for Strategic initiatives. The Administrative Executive Officer will guide the development and communication of the Division’s vision, mission purposes and principles. The Administrative Executive Officer will perform duties that lead to the coordination and execution of long-range business plans. Specifically, the Administrative Executive Officer is expected to:

  • Research and identify prospective public and private partners for Bronx Community;
  • Maintain a comprehensive partnership tracking system, including research, identification, strategy, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of public/private partners write, assemble, and submit sponsorship proposals, grant applications, and fulfill reporting requirements;
  • Prepare briefing materials and presentations for meetings with current and prospective partners;
  • Collaborate on program development opportunities with partners and sponsors;
  • Prepare materials related to meetings, including but not limited to cases for support, briefing papers, and follow up;
  • Develop key relationships with faculty and staff to develop and align public/private partnerships that will benefit BCC and support the institution’s strategic planning goals and objectives;
  • Focus on developing partnerships with organizations that will strengthen the reputation of BCC and draw supporters to the college;
  • Develop appropriate metrics and reports to assess and communicate public and private partnerships effectiveness and impact on fundraising results
  • Function as the Vice Presidents representative in all matters relating to the Division of Strategic Initiatives;
  • Assist the Vice President in defining strategic and tactical plans for improvements in the organization;
  • Develop, improve and implement processes to ensure the efficiency, consistency and quality of the work output of the division:
  • Write and communicate clear directional message on behalf of the division;
  • Monitor the overall administrative operations for the Division;
  • Foster partnerships with all other Divisions of the college to establish an understanding of each area’s respective goals and objectives;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.

  • Identifies, cultivates and oversees the acquisition of potential partners; builds relationships and develops partnership concepts
  • Collaborates with faculty, administrators, and external partners to design, implement, evaluate and enhance partnerships
  • Coordinates efforts within College and University to promote and integrate partnerships into academic and service learning programs (through internships/externships, mentoring, scholarships, and related activities)
  • Creates case statements and proposals to solicit and secure funding
  • Collects data for, reviews, and reports on the success and impact of partnership programs
  • Manages an office of professional and/or administrative staff
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. ($132,987 - $141.858)
