Role Summary:

As a Senior Product Manager focused on Video at Kargo, you'll lead the charge in shaping and evolving our proprietary video player. Kargo provides an innovative technology solution that provides publishers with an engaging, content-driven video experience, offering personalized content, seamless website integration, and comprehensive monetization capabilities to maximize revenue. In this pivotal role, you're not just managing a product; you're sculpting the future of video at Kargo. Your mission is to blend innovation with user-centric design, driving our video productsplayer from an emerging product to a market leader. You'll dive deep into research, chart out the product's journey, and ensure every feature resonates with our users and stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive roadmap for a significant piece of our overall video product offering, focusing on achieving market parity and introducing innovative enhancements, including player design improvements and CMS feature enhancements.
  • Analyze data to improve player attractiveness, user retention, and monetization, with a keen eye on optimizing the user experience (UX) based on user feedback and usability testing results.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ideate, define, and deliver top-notch video product features and solutions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user interface (UI) that enhances user interaction and engagement.
  • Compile detailed product requirements, creating user stories and flowcharts that guide development, with a strong emphasis on UX/UI design principles to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly platform.
  • Engage actively in team sprints, maintaining a healthy and prioritized task backlog.
  • Oversee multiple project timelines, managing deliverables and adapting to scope changes efficiently.
  • Regularly report on product performance, utilizing a data-driven approach to track metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive the creation and iteration of CMS features, focusing on ease of use for content managers and alignment with user experience goals, ensuring the video player remains competitive and compelling.

Who You Are:

  • A seasoned product manager with 5+ years of experience, particularly in building video applications or platforms.
  • Experience working alongside UI/UX teams to build consumer-facing products or content management platforms.
  • Well-versed in the online video technology stack and industry trends.
  • Experience developing self-service products
  • Adept at crafting roadmap strategies, overseeing feature delivery, and managing product trade-offs.
  • An organizational maestro with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Experienced with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com).
  • Knowledgeable in the digital advertising sector, especially online video (a significant plus).
  • Proficient in working directly with Engineering teams on product enhancements.
  • Familiar with various project management methodologies and business analysis.
  • A proven leader in cross-functional program management, adept at steering timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering technology projects and features.
