Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Event Marketing team develops objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of internal and external company/customer or marketing events, including workshops, seminars, trade shows, product demonstrations, etc., to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. They work with internal/external resources to obtain needed materials/services and negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors/partners. They partner with marketing, sales and product colleagues to identify key areas of focus and ensure documents and/or materials (promotional materials, product samples, etc.) is provided. They also provide onsite leadership to ensure all aspects of the event are executed properly and directs exhibit design program including production and follow up with attendants as required to ensure event success, optimize future events, and evaluate ROI. 

Roles & Resposibilities

As a TE External and Internal Event Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, ensuring seamless execution and memorable experiences for clients and attendees. This position requires a dynamic individual with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Event Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their show /event objectives, requirements, and vision.
  • Develop comprehensive show /event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Research and recommend trade shows or suitable venues, vendors, and suppliers based on program goals and in partnership with business stakeholders.

Logistics Management:

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects for trade shows, including hotel room blocks, booth build, application displays, give aways and event speakers.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of internal events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, audio-visual setups, and décor.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Create and manage show/event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on event progress, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout the event planning process.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of external events.

  • Provide leadership and direction to event staff, including volunteers and temporary workers.

Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess events' success and identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive event reports to clients, summarizing key metrics and outcomes.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Previous experience with project management solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
