Director of Compensation and Benefits

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Compensation and Benefits will drive Kajabi’s success by bringing your expertise to our People leadership team and helping us scale. The successful candidate will create and implement employee compensation programs designed to recruit, engage, develop and inspire Kajabi’s talent to drive organizational performance. You will lead the development of a compensation strategy and implement new and revised programs, policies, and procedures. You will be a trusted advisor to our leadership team and a critical leader on the People Operations team.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Directs, designs, and plans base salary and variable compensation policies, initiatives, and administration of the company’s compensation programs
  • Plans and administers long and short-term equity programs and executive programs that drive company performance and comply with laws and regulations
  • Monitors external regulatory, competitive practices and benchmarks, networking with external peers and formal/ad hoc salary and benefits survey participation including overseeing the preparation of survey submissions, analysis of results, formulating preliminary recommendations regarding market and structure movement and associated adjustments needed to base or incentive compensation and benefits programs
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to business and HR leaders on compensation matters, including annual merit reviews, incentive and sales pay programs, bonus awards, salary offers, promotions
  • Seeks continuous improvement in all areas of compensation including job leveling, job evaluation, compensation governance, benchmarking, etc.
  • Provides compensation support to CPO in preparation and attendance at Board of Directors meetings
  • Ensures compensation programs enable employee attraction and retention and remain within budgetary constraints
  • Collaborates effectively and communicates clearly with HR functional areas and other stakeholders across the organization
  • Effectively manages special projects and initiatives related to the design, development, and implementation of compensation programs
  • Lead annual benefits renewal process including but not limited to benchmarking, evaluation of plan designs, developing cost saving recommendations that delight employees; working with brokers to obtain accurate quotes

  • Provides coaching, feedback, and performance management to promote culture of high standards and performance

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • A minimum ten years of demonstrated leadership experience in global compensation management
  • Strong understanding of global compensation principles, regulations and market trends
  • Superior consultative, analytical, and organizational skills are critical; ability to think strategically and to link action plans to critical business priorities
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the interpersonal and relationship building skills required to consult and partner with executive level leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of leading edge compensation strategies; must have strong analytical, business and influencing skills; ability to thrive and be successful in a dynamic changing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

PayRange

Base salary $190,000 - $240,000 + Bonus + Equity

Pay is based on several factors, including salary, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Kajabi is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits
