What You’ll Get to Do:

The Records Management Specialist provides technical support for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Denver office Record Center and all programs and subordinate offices.

More About the Role:

Region 8 Denver programs administer programs under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA or Superfund), Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act, and other environmental statutes. In this role, you will:

  • Assist in planning and program development, analysis of records management problems, and design of strategies to meet ongoing records management needs.
  • Have specific technical duties including, but not limited to, response to inquiries; collection maintenance and retrieval tasks; metadata review and input; equipment maintenance; and use of automated information systems.
  • Deliver records and information management presentations/trainings to customers.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to obtain a NACI clearance.
  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in records management
  • General knowledge of records management practices as established by EPA and the National Archives Records Administration (NARA)
  • Demonstrated experience using automated information systems, (e.g., Federal Docket Management System (FDMS), the Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS), the Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), and/or Institutional Control Tracking System (ICTS) and/or other related region specific or national systems)
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.

  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills
