Job Description

Looking for a Design Operations Director to help our Experience talent to do their best work. In order to develop and maintain a healthy Experience organization, we need highly efficient operations and an innovative, colleague-centric culture. With a focus on the Americas, you will help build and manage scalable internal process and tools that remove overhead from our experience leaders, help develop a common culture, and evolve processes, systems, and programmes that enable the PS Experience capability to scale with strength. Help us unlock the value that PS Experience needs to deliver bold change to better serve our clients.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the Global Design Ops Lead, in driving craft maturity, and shaping and realizing the internal Design Ops strategy.
  • Develop a client-facing Design Ops offering, collaborate with Industry Leads in identifying opportunites to scale services, and shape/manage Design Ops client engagements.
  • Build a deep understanding of Experience internal operational needs and opportunities across the Americas business, including process, tools, documentation, communication, asset management, etc.
  • Solve complex operational problems that enable Experience’s strategy, balancing rigour and usability in solutions. 
  • Evolve / define and operationalize our processes, tools, and practices across geographies.
  • Capture, catalogue, and disseminate content for reuse across offices/teams/clients.
  • Develop, communicate and provide education around key health and performance metrics, covering commercial and talent (e.g. margin and revenue, utilisation, skill needs, resource use, team performance, and talent health and engagement).
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to champion an internal Experience culture, one that seeks to raise the bar on performance to deliver outsized impact for clients and internal initiatives.
  • Organize and facilitate events – town halls, work shares, and other communities.
  • Manage and report on the Americas investment budget, collaborating with senior leaders to develop spend plans and business cases.
  • Establish, maintain and leverage connections across the Americas business, from the Experience Capability to Industry Teams, internal service teams, and across SPEED Capability Groups.
  • Manage Design Operations team members, supporting them with their growth and impact.

Qualifications

  • 10 years professional experience in an DBT/experience design/product environment, with at least 5 years working in a design operations or general management role, as a chief-of-staff to creative or operational leadership, or similar role in a fast-paced, multi-geography design organization.
  • Proven track record of success in a consulting role, and experience working in matrixed delivery models, navigating across industry and country leadership.
  • Capable of finding or imposing order in ambiguous environments, and creating momentum around priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to tackle a diverse set of organizational challenges, recognize patterns, and develop strategic and scalable solutions.
  • Ability to collect, manage, and communicate with quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional leadership.
  • Able to demonstrate how their work has helped lead teams to reaching those goals that impact their customer’s/client’s success.
  • Strong affinity for Experience, with a passion for design, culture, trend, and sustainability; this helps you to successfully advocate for and represent design with other teams.
  • Understand how creatives work, their needs and their mindset - experience working with creatives required.
  • Deep understanding of high-efficiency, high-output decentralized design organizations.

Additional Information

Range: 175,000 to 200,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
