What you’ll be doing… 

This Co-Op position, which is part of the Verizon Campus Program, will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm as part of a 6-month rotation from June 24, 2024 to December 14, 2024 working a full-time schedule. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive.

As a Co-Op with the Product Management team, some of the projects you may work on could enhance your skills in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Developing business cases, product strategies, product requirements, and product roadmaps based on market research, trends, and Verizon business strategies. This includes identifying competitive positioning/differentiation and conducting analysis to develop insights for the evolution of the product portfolio, including supporting the business and pricing strategy and business modeling.
  • Managing pilot and proof of concept (POC) product development in collaboration with internal and external teams to gain learnings to inform and evolve product strategies.
  • Managing a portfolio of commercialized products.
  • Researching and understanding marketplace trends within social media and metaverse and assessing new product opportunities (products, services, partnerships, markets) and other growth initiatives as they arise.
  • Coordinating workstreams and collaborating with technology development, network, marketing, legal, and product groups to deliver outstanding results through execution excellence.
  • Designing and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and/or product analytics.
  • Defining early product visions, demonstrating a portfolio-focused approach to strategy, developing and refining roadmaps, and reviewing design flows with product and design teams.
  • Producing mockups and optimized flows based on research.
  • Collating and synthesizing broad feedback from cross-functional teams.
  • Conducting user acceptance testing and ensuring QA sign-off.
  • Collecting and analyzing product analytics from self-serve tools.
  • Implementing Project and Product Management processes and tools (e.g. Jira, Project Plans, Executive Status reporting).
  • Conducting user acceptance testing and ensuring QA sign-off.


You must be currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor’s degree program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and be in good academic standing to be considered.

This Co-Op position will be based out of Basking Ridge, NJ and follow a hybrid work schedule as set by the manager, including work from home and intentional in-person days. If relocation is required, relocation assistance may be available.

You’ll need to have:

  • Ability to participate in our 6-month co-op that takes place from June 24, 2024 to December 14, 2024 working a full-time schedule.
  • Current enrollment in a NJIT Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Business, IT, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2024 and June 2025. 
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Previous Internship or Co-Op experience.
  • Completed coursework in calculus, physics, and/or probability/statistics.
  • Experience with data analytics, data science, and computer programming for analysis and automation.
  • Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team environment.
