Responsibilities

The Field Service Specialist – Imaging provides specialty medical equipment services on various Imaging equipment. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance inspections, installation support, testing, calibration, troubleshooting and maintenance on specialty imaging equipment (CT or Cath Lab or Digital X-ray or C-arm or MRI or Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound or Contrast Injectors).

This individual shall be competent in the use of all applicable test equipment and tools required in the performance of the duties and be able to teach and coach others as needed. The Field Service Specialist will ensure compliance with changes in regulations, policies and procedures set by national and state regulatory bodies.

Responsible to ensure that all scheduled work is accomplished on time, customer needs are met, and the day-to-day operations impacting revenue are communicated as needed and appropriate resources are utilized to minimize any service interruptions. The position also has service support scheduling and vendor management responsibility. Individual shall be required to provide regional technical support for resolving difficult equipment issues.

This individual contributes to department improvement and collaborates and maintains positive relationships with customers. Qualifications

  1. Responsible for one or more of the following modalities - CT, Cath Lab, MR, Nuclear Medicine, Digital X-ray, C-arm, Ultrasound or Contrast Injector.
  2. Associates degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military education with minimum 2 years’ experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment
  3. OEM certification of training in the respective modality
  4. Working knowledge of Networking, PACS and DICOM standards required
  5. Knowledge of Associated tools and test equipment.
  6. Demonstrate mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills in a timely manner.
  7. Willingness to cross-train other team members
  8. Familiar with the Healthcare Industry understanding roles in various department and users.
  9. Support policies and procedures of Prime Healthcare.
  10. Professional appearance and behavior.
  11. Communicate effectively, share knowledge, proactively complete tasks, and cooperate in a team environment.
  12. Maintain a valid DL with good driving record.
  13. Travel to Prime Healthcare Hospitals in California and possibly outside of California as required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.00 to $60.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
