Position Title: Construction Coordinator Intern

Role

Internship designed to provide leadership-focused, motivated participants an opportunity to learn about the telecommunications infrastructure industry and to be challenged with a meaningful, career-oriented work experience. 50% of the session will be spent with the Fiber Construction group assisting Fiber Construction Managers implementing the design and infrastructure placement of fiber services. 50% of the session will be spent with Fiber Design Engineering, planning, designing fiber circuits and splicing prints along with updating data base records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teammates in creating fiber design records and managing Network Infrastructure construction.
  • Read and decipher construction drawings and engineering prints.
  • Maintain accurate and complete files for projects and programs; monitor for integrity and accuracy.
  • Create records updates for progress tracking in workflow databases.
  • Collaborate with teammates to problem solve
  • Engage in learning from your teammates.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to understand the overall fiber build process.
  • Evaluate project plan statuses to identify and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to corporate financial processes and procedures to ensure SOX compliance.

Education/Certifications 

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
  • Preferred field(s) of study: Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management

Experience/Minimum Requirements 

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 3 to August 9, 2024
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship.

Reports to: Director of Design and Construction

Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. 

For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents - The hiring range offered for this position is $19.50/hour.
