Principal Enterprise Cloud Engineer - Computing Services

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing principles and practices As a Cloud Solution Engineer, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, and managing cutting-edge cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members on the design of cloud applications and servers for optimal scaling
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to configure and deploy workloads consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, and deployment
  • Develop an application platform to run services in cloud environments
  • Design and implementation of cloud-based solutions for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Defining and maintaining the cloud foundational platform technology and configuration to enable enterprise application hosting and infrastructure services
  • Work with Architects and Leadership to implement and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions (Azure DevOps, Terraform, etc) to enable DevOps teams and provisioning processes
  • Take part in cloud readiness assessments, roadmap, and application modernization discussions
  • Assist in the development of automated solutions to deploy, monitor, and support systems and services in the Cloud
  • Identify areas of improvement with existing solutions and participate in the implementation of new projects
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering best practices when it comes to building and scaling cloud-native applications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience..
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud computing, with proficiency in cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, along with the ability to adapt to new platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as DevOps, Terraform, etc
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a knack for finding innovative solutions.
