Financial Control Manager - Reporting, Platforms, Data & Insights, MTFC

About the Role

The Markets & Treasury Financial Control (MTFC) is responsible for maintaining a robust control environment whilst producing financial reporting and analysis for the Markets and Treasury divisions. MTFC ensures the business is well managed from a financial and regulatory standpoint through the application of disciplined end-to-end trial balance control processes including but not limited to Balance Sheet (BS) & Profit/Loss (P&L) recognition and substantiation, through new trades review, P&L explain/attribution of all market and model inputs, price testing of trader marked inputs, defined valuation adjustments, analytical review and review of regulatory data, performance attribution, and FX/cash exposures management.

The Financial Control Manager, Reporting Platform, Data, & Insights (RPDI) is a people leader who will be supporting the team in ensuring that reports are completed accurately and timely in a controlled environment, data are handled in accordance to policy, and will continuously review end-to-end production and assess if further evolution and streamlining of processes are needed. The successful candidate will also partner with technology and wider Finance team as part of delivering self-service reporting for everyone.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong data governance
  • Good knowledge of Markets finance data flows
  • Experience in management of external & Internal audit relationships desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable in policy and procedure reviews
