What You’ll Be Doing

The Sales Origination Product Delivery team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Frontline digital products with capabilities that address business objectives and enable optimal client experience. The Director, Product Delivery will lead a team of Product Owners, and will be accountable for ensuring that the product delivery team understands, and is aligned to the vision and path of delivering the product iteration.

In this role, you will be expected to provide strategic and tactical insights, while delivering against our Canadian Banking Strategy. You will be accountable for a number of enterprise programs and projects being delivered across our delivery teams. You will work closely with our technology leadership team to align on best practices and ways of working, to drive efficiencies in how we work. Relationships with your stakeholders and delivery partners are critical for success. You are also responsible for monitoring budget spend, benefits realization, and making choices that increase overall team efficiency and maximizes value.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Product Delivery - Lead the product delivery team to effectively define the vision, business requirements and delivery roadmap for the platform & enterprise programs. Work with your peers and partners to ensure the platform is delivery against strategic priorities. The delivery team’s operating model, agility and effectiveness will also be a key areas of responsibility.
  • Leadership - Provide overall product leadership and direction for the platform’s agile delivery framework. Support optimization of multi-product recommendation & adjudication across an omnichannel environment. Leverage data for strategic decision making. Take ownership of the work delivered and strive to drive the best digital experience for your end users.
  • Partnership with Technology – Collaborate with technology teams to execute the platform roadmap and continuously improve the delivery model.
  • Strategic Thinking & Alignment– Drive, manage and execute projects and initiatives that align to the Canadian Banking Strategy across all lines of business, user groups and channels. Alignment to business goals, objectives and KPIs are key in everything that is delivered. Provide insights, recommendations and strategic direction based on platform capabilities and CIBC’s business needs. Think strategically about how you can mobilize and engage teams across the enterprise to deliver strategic change.
  • Stakeholder engagement – Ensure multiple groups of stakeholders are aligned with the platform roadmap. This role will require extensive relationship building, communication expertise, issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration.
