Uses standard Johnson Controls estimating and development processes and tools in performing tasks
Deploy competitive and qualified system & products to internal employees and customers
Trains the internal employees and customers in JCI HVAC systems & products
Trains the estimating tools to internal employees
Provides cost effective HVAC systems estimations for optimal building operations
Maintain JCI HVAC systems & products sales & technical documents
Supports and promotes the sales proposal process for HVAC systems. Uses available tools to assemble estimates for HVAC systems
Reviews estimate with HVAC sales personnel and appropriate service operation team to get mutual agreement on estimate.
Assists in work scope issues or interpretation discrepancies, providing solutions to resolve. Develops scope and estimate for service personnel. Works with service personnel to develop understanding of customer requirements, critical areas and needs. Develops common orientation of job scope and details. Assists service personnel identify unique job considerations for service work.
Identifies value-added options for proposed solutions.
Uses equipment checklists to assist HVAC sales personnel to appropriately assess risk.
Provides technical, process or estimating support to management during project design or proposal phase.
Supports detailed estimating of projects. Validates assumptions made during project design or proposal phase. Builds a detailed cost estimate and scope of work for assigned projects in conjunction with sales & service operations. Assists in preparing proposals and other customer communication documents.
Performs detailed estimating analysis to quantify cost savings or other cost benefits.
Assists in presentations of proposals as required.
Participates in transition meetings with sales and service operations to ensure project scope and objectives, timeline and customer requirements are properly understood
May provide post-contract design review support
Perform other related duties as assigned
C. Education, Technical Skills, knowledge and experience
Degree/Diploma in mechanical engineering with a minimum of five (5) years experiences required
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, building systems
Entry level function-specific licenses or certifications preferred
Experience in design building construction and HVAC highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to estimate complex projects against tight deadline, with a “can do attitude.”
Proactive and team oriented
Possesses solid working knowledge of common computer applications (ie, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, etc)
