Web Developer and Designer, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a web developer and designer, you use your specialized technical experience and your attention to detail to generate web products to give your clients the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters.

As a web developer and designer on our team, you’ll help your client by providing web design, development, and improvement of web interfaces, pages, templates, and tools. Using your comprehensive understanding of user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and graphic design, you will design and create interactive graphics and web products to illustrate technical subject matter and generate visual presentations. As an authority on your topic, your client will look to you for creativity, concepts, and proposals, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise and broaden your skillset in areas like web development, graphic design, analysis, and communication. You’ll share your expertise with other colleagues through leadership and mentoring. You Have: 

  • 8+ years of experience as a web or UI/UX developer
  • Experience with applying best practices for improving web accessibility, usability, and technical implementation with usability tools
  • Experience with designing UI graphics and elements, with defined styling, revisions, or improvements
  • Experience with graphic design principles, including typographic, layout, and production methods
  • Experience with using Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, Apple Final Cut Pro, Map Publisher, and SharePoint
  • Ability to design products for front-end development and web applications
  • Ability to develop and maintain design guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all project applications, uses, and workflows
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • 12+ years of experience with performing web design and development
  • Experience as a web designer and developer supporting CCMD or component organizations
  • Experience with Section 508 Digital Design Compliance
  • Experience with Section 508 Accessibility Requirements Tool (ART)
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidently interfacing with leadership
  • Master's degree

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
