Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Talent Marketing will be responsible for the cultivation of revenue generating opportunities for individual talent marketing clients, as well as supporting the collective sales efforts of the Talent Marketing Division. The position will be based in our New York office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Drives new business, content and product seeding opportunities for the Talent Marketing Division across every talent medium, ranging from retired/active star players, influencers, media talent and NIL clients;
  • Generates new business opportunities and relationships for the group;
  • Conducts dedicated daily prospecting work and outreach in support of the candidate’s own book of business, as well as the group’s, including targeted searches in specific markets and active categories within the sports industry;
  • Spearheads group’s equipment relationship efforts;
  • Manages day-to-day relationships with local and regional memorabilia to assist in deal flow, fulfillment, tracking and reporting of all contractual assets across all memorabilia trading card partnerships;
  • Works with internal stakeholders to include Marketing, Agents and Client Service groups, to assist in all logistics; related to signing commitments, scheduling with reps, and coverage for signings, whenever applicable;
  • Proactively monitors industry and business trade news to identify:
  • Viable companies/brands that may or may not be a fit for a specific Excel clients;
  • Key emerging categories;
  • Any other relevant industry news and trends to share with the group;
  • Manages the team’s CRM systems, including utilization for outreach and reporting;
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to include Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Creative and Client Service groups for divisional needs;
  • Liaises with ESM Legal for contractual process and ESM Accounting for payment remittance;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • 3-5 years of experience securing talent deals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Understanding and interest in the sports sponsorship and talent endorsement landscape, key industry players, market values and activation concepts;
  • Background working with talent
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences, both written and verbally;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail;
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance;
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;
  • Extremely proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as CRM Systems, particularly Salesforce;
  • Highly responsive and accessible;
  • Ability to work both collaboratively as well as autonomously;
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships.

The pay range for this position is: $95,000- $110,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and sales incentive program.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
