Job Description

  • About this role:

CEDA (Customer Excellence and Data Analytics) team is looking for some new team members, which play a critical role of performing analytics activities Data Engineering, Reporting, and exploratory analytics as well as Visualization.

You will be responsible as a team member in executing Core Analytics, Reporting and Data Visualization tasks for various business lines. You will interact closely with other Customer Remediation Analytics team members as well as multiple business partners.

As part of a team focused on the preserving the customer experience across the organization, this role will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrate experience in Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Perform and test highly complex data analytics for customer remediations.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of analytics projects including requirements development, code development, testing, peer review, and data driven guidance/recommendations for remediation strategies.
  • Design analysis projects flow and documentation that is structured for consistency, easy to understand, and to be offered to multiple levels of reviewers, partners, and regulatory agents demonstrating research and analysis completed.
  • Investigate and ensure data integrity from multiple sources. Ensure data recommended and used is the best “source of truth”.
  • Employ creative and innovative thinking in establishing solutions to operational and data problems or inefficiencies. Identify appropriate design and technology strategies to address problems and create new capabilities, using existing technology solutions where possible.
  • Design and implement efficient and repeatable solutions that fit within a defined and well-governed framework. Participate in determining performance metrics for the solution.
  • Apply knowledge of business, customers, and products to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective. Data involved is typically very large, structured, or unstructured, and from multiple sources.
  • Provide end to end project ownership, including partnering with peers and partners to create requirements, establishing a consensus-aligned design strategy, developing and documenting technical requirements, building the solution, and participating in testing, including but not limited to peer reviews, security peer reviews, internal testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to meet high quality standards consistently.
  • Willing to assist on high priority work outside of regular business hours or weekend as needed.
  • Around 10+ years in analytics role
  • Bachelors, M.A./M.Sc. College Degree or Higher in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
  • Advanced SQL/SAS skill set.
  • Strong in data mining and data analysis.
  • Strong and advanced experience in Tableau visualization. Proficient with creation of interactive dashboards using Tableau Desktop and server.
  • Good knowledge in Tableau prep. Proficient in data preparation which needs exploration, cleaning, and shaping data in real-time before analysis.
  • Draw insights on analyzed data and present the same in PowerPoint, Tableau, or any other equivalent reporting tool in a visually appealing manner.
  • Advanced experience with operational metric reporting.
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs.
  • Advanced experience with contact center operations data including telephony and digital channels.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels.
  • Proven experience with conducting risk and process assessments.
  • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs.
  • Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify project and process gaps, recommend controls and communicate progress to business leaders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution.
  • Strong Analytical background.
  • Experience partnering with Senior Leaders and Executives.
  • Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes.
  • Strong experience with data integration, database structures and data warehouses.

Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Around 8+ years in similar analytics roles
  • Bachelors, M.A./M.Sc. College Degree or Higher in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
  • ~6 year programming in SAS or SQL.
  • Knowledge about Home Lending or Auto Lending is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PVSI, Non-Lending, Student Loans, Small Business and Personal Lines and Loans is a plus.
  • Strong experience with data integration, database structures and data warehouses.
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 8+ years of Tableau or any other equivalent reporting tool experience.
  • 8+ year of SAS server and SQL experience.
  • Good to have Thought Spot/PowerBI/maybe Alteryx.
  • Good to know VBA, UNIX.
  • Knowledge about Home Lending or Auto Lending is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PVSI, Non-Lending, Student Loans, Small Business and Personal Lines and Loans is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions.
  • Ability to form a story through data analysis.
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes.
  • Ability to translate business needs into complex analysis designs and recommendations. Uses analysis to identify and define business requirements, while supporting the validity of the final product.
  • Experience coordinating multiple tasks within aggressive time frames.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Ability to articulate basic project methodology concepts for managing scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change.
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.
  • Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
