We’re hiring for a Head of Global Sustainability Reporting to join our Global Sustainability Team in London. This is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave.

Purpose of the Role

As Head of Global Sustainability Reporting you’ll oversee all activities relating to dentsu’s reporting against delivery of our Sustainability Strategy and in alignment with global best practice for sustainability reporting. You’ll lead on all aspects relating to reporting governance, project management and compliance, overseeing the delivery of annual reporting process, including data collection, review and assurance process. Leading and developing a team of sustainability reporting professionals to deliver the sustainability reporting plan and agenda.

Reporting directly into the Executive Director of Group sustainability Office sitting in Tokyo, you will be holding several regular calls with the Tokyo team on a weekly basis. and also Working across the Dentsu Group network you will inform senior executives on developments in reporting best practice and oversee performance tracking against our sustainability goals. This role is key in driving and communicating our social impact leadership agenda, demonstrating dentsu’s commitment to building a vibrant society where people enjoy a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and implement reporting-related programmes and interventions that drive performance, mitigate risk, increase employee engagement and build brand and reputation.
  • Collaborate with legal, HR, finance, technology, procurement, communications and marketing, service lines and core operations to develop best in class reporting processes and operations to support a sustainable business model.
  • Oversee the monitoring of regulatory landscape globally to stay ahead of trends and legislations pertaining to sustainability reporting, including overseeing dentsu’s CSRD preparation roadmap.
  • Leads across the global network to ensure the timely supply of social impact and sustainability KPIs and to align our sustainability and financial reporting efforts.
  • Collaborate with dentsu’s technology team to continue developing the online reporting platform by feeding them prioritised requirements and co-designing roadmaps for delivery. 
  • Lead our work with rating agencies such as Ecovadis and collaborate with dentsu colleagues in Japan and globally on DJSI, CDP and others, and advise the business as an expert on stakeholder materiality expectations and ISSB requirements.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Seasoned subject matter expert in sustainability data and reporting with experience in carbon accounting
  • Good understanding of commercial environment in which dentsu operates
  • Expert communication skills, critical for engaging diverse stakeholders globally
  • Advanced leadership, demonstrated through guiding own team and also cross-functional stakeholders through changes in reporting strategy and requirements.
  • Available to join the team from May 2024 to ensure a thorough handover
