Marketing Segmentation and Operations Specialist

Cooley is seeking a Marketing Segmentation and Operations Specialist to join the Marketing & Business Development team. 

Position summary: The Marketing Segmentation and Operations Specialist will support CRM-related business processes relating to contact/account list-building and management for marketing events and campaigns, along with supporting other marketing operations projects as assigned. This role will liaise closely with the CRM Services and Corporate Data Management teams. The Marketing Segmentation and Operations Specialist will exhibit strong aptitude for reviewing and analyzing data, strong attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with project stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position responsibilities:

CRM support:

  • Work with the CRM system to create customized mailing lists for events and marketing campaigns, according to marketing/business development specifications
  • Advise on, build out, cleanse, and enhance marketing lists of accounts and contacts based on parameters and requirements communicated by stakeholders
  • Verify, supplement, and correct inaccurate and incomplete data, and remove/merge duplicate contact records in line with list requirements 
  • Work with marketing/BD on mailing list iterations as needed; support the list through the lifecycle of the event
  • Push mailing lists to e-marketing system for digital mailings
  • Monitor and resolve bounce-backs for various mailings related to the list
  • Utilize Demandbase to import leads into Salesforce (where necessary and in compliance with data protection requirements)
  • Collaborate with CRM Services data stewards and Corporate Data Management teams if data structure or data inconsistencies require long-term resolution

Process support:

  • Support the marketing department processes and workflows, including the marketing workflow automation system, as needed 
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills and experience:

Required:

  • Exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, MS collaboration tools, MS SharePoint, MS PowerBI, Salesforce and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
  • Ability to travel to other offices and off site as needed
  • 3+ years experience in marketing technology
  • Experience with CRM tools and related processes
  • Strong proficiency in data review and analysis 
  • Experience in managing and executing multiple projects concurrently

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in law firm or other professional service organization

  • Capable of grasping new concepts quickly and without prior experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside of the firm
  • Ability to prioritize and work concurrently on a variety of projects and requests, providing a solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $32.00 - $47.00. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
