Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant– Mainframe Production Support Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clean, functional code that flawlessly suits the needs of the company Your main focus will be coding and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests To support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution Work with business people to have a real time problem and, craft the solution which really fits into client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in RALLY and RDB on VAX/VMS or OpenVMS environment to do the following:
  • Follow the internal processes to the ‘T.’
  • Document the transition and transition internally to the geographically distributed team.
  • From steady state: on a day-day basis resolve tickets within SLA, in doing do collaborate with the geographically distributed teams to achieve better efficiency and productivity by taking advantage of work that can be done across time-zones.
  • Be absolutely client experience focused and have a passion to identify opportunities to continuously improve our services.
  • Report to Leads outside of the local region and participate in preparing/presenting status reports.
  • Programming, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed, ensuring quality of deliverables.
  • Assist in Documentation - KEDB - Recovery & Resolution procedures.
  • Analyze business functions and data discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with global team members and business users at all levels.
  • On-call responsibility on a rotation basis is required once the candidate is up to speed.
  • Work would be in Energy and manufacturing functional area.
  • Flexible to work in Maintenance/Support Development Projects
  • Execute various forms of testing – unit, system, regression, integration, performance, volume.
  • Experience in code management and versioning methodologies.
  • Participate in scaling the team by training others on RALLY & RDB

Qualifications we seek in you:

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelors or master’s in engineering or mathematics is preferred,experience in RALLY, RDB
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting& scripting skills (Debugging & scripting skills required)

Preferred qualifications 

  • Superior customer service mindset
  • Good to have knowledge of Production support activities (added advantage)
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • The ability to communicate, friendly and cultural behavior during customer contact.
  • Strong customer focus
  • Willingness and ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to learn the Product/Platform and associated technologies.
  • Ability to be learn and apply new processes and tools.
  • Technical understanding of products/services and/or ecosystem being supported.
