This is a Temporary Intermittent position Not-To-Exceed two years. This position will perform under the general supervision of a Forestry Technician (GS-5 to GS-7); and will be responsible for the fieldwork involved with the Forest Development activities that may include planting, site preparation and pre-commercial thinning. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. Applications will be reviewed every two weeks; the first cut-off date for applications is 10 business days from the opening date and every two weeks thereafter. Minimum Qualifications:
GS-02: 3 months of general experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent degree.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: (1) Any type of work that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with the subject matter or processes of the broad subject area of the occupation. Can be evidenced by farming or ranching work that involved application of cultural, soil and water conservation practices, including safety and use of equipment, and that provided a basic understanding of land use; or forest or range fire control, prevent on, or suppression work.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
