Overview
Do you enjoy solving problems with data? Do you want to make an impact with your work at a mission driven, world class medical center? Do you want to know that your analytics work is viewed organizationally as a strategic differentiator?
The Clinical Operations and Business Analytics Team (COBA) is expanding and looking for problem solvers who want to drive administrative savings back to patient care and research. COBA is a subdivision of the Dana-Farber Informatics and Analytics department led by the Chief Data and Analytics Officer that is responsible for building a world class analytics environment, enabling measurability and transparency of key institute KPIs for improved decision making.
As the Institute continues to expand, executive leadership at Dana-Farber recognizes the overall impact of analytics on our physicians, nurses, researchers, administrators, and most importantly, our patients. This recognition comes with a committed investment in the COBA Team to build the data and analytics infrastructure that will continue to fuel the Institute’s growth. One such area of growth is Pediatric Operations, which runs the Jimmy Fund Clinic and supports our pediatric patient population in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital. You will be tasked with providing accessible, easy to understand and insightful data products to this team that make regular reporting easy, root cause analysis rich and effective, and insight to action lightning speed. You will apply advanced analytics to empower decision makers to make more informed choices.
On the COBA Team, you will also be part of building an analytics Center of Excellence that drives data-driven insights and teaches others to apply analysis in ways that improve lives both today and in the future. As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst on the COBA Team you will help evolve and scale a wide range of analytics supporting a variety of clinical and operational stakeholders, bringing knowledge and assets from Pediatrics to the rest of the institute and vice versa.
Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
