QuickBooks is traditionally known for accounting and bookkeeping products and services. Increasingly, following customer demand and market trends, we are investing in services that help small businesses run their business on the QuickBooks platform. This includes a number of money movement services, as well as, employee management solutions. As a Marketing Program Manager you will be responsible for driving cross functional initiatives that support the US Marketing organization and strategic annual goals that help accelerate growth of QuickBooks service offerings by partnering with sales, marketing, product, billing and our technology teams. You will be a crucial member of a newly formed team designed to build specialization and expertise in business analytics within a high growth portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3-5+ years of experience leading cross-functional or complex projects and programs, preferably in a Marketing or Operations role
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Strong organization, time management and task prioritization skills. Must be an exceptional planner who is highly organized with attention to detail, self-directed, efficient and able to manage complex programs in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to make decisions quickly & communicate effectively within a large and diverse organization is essential
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and direction, and drive process using indirect authority
  • Excellent leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and ability to both influence and develop strong partnerships at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional virtual teams to deliver on key program objectives and understand impact to various stakeholders
  • High intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs across all phases of planning and execution for key marketing strategies and capability building
  • Create, optimize and drive structured schedules and project plans across cross-functional teams and partners. This includes updating & maintaining project trackers and tracking open action items, project risks & blockers & following up with project stakeholders
  • Set and meet deadlines with quality deliverables, effectively adapting and modifying plans based on changing conditions or data
  • Use exceptional cross-functional partnering skills with ability to gain shared vision and "influence without authority" on challenging decisions and priority trade-offs
  • Own the in-year planning process for each respective marketing goal (from initiative breakdown, campaign planning management, milestone setting, roadmapping)
  • Coordinate with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) & Product Managers on tech dependencies across key initiatives to ensure timely delivery of business goals, including development of business requirements, identifying key use cases, outlining key business outcomes
  • Define the initiative’s roles and responsibilities, DACI and key business processes with cross functional team
  • Serve as the central point of contact to coordinate across marketing teams (e.g., lifecycle marketers, audience marketers, solutions, build, capabilities / innovation) and running key meetings with stakeholders. This will include setting agenda topics, raising open action items, recapping meeting notes and maintaining project documentation.
  • Running internal team standups to raise key priorities on a weekly or monthly basis, anticipate and communicate risks and proactively manage the risks with the internal team before they become project blockers
  • Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks, work well with others when conflicts arise, ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints before driving for closure and cooperation
  • Create and finalize status & commentary for monthly leadership updates on the initiative’s progress, blockers, help needed
  • Clean, organize, and analyze data sets using Excel (Google Sheets) and advanced functions to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Create visually appealing and engaging presentations to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders
