Yara globally embarked on a journey to renew its current fragmented and monolithic SAP ECC based Enter-prise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape to SAP S/4. Within the region we are establishing the team that will help roll-out, manage, support and evolve the new, regional ERP system - our digital core.

Responsibilities

We are hiring 3 solution architects to form the basis for this new team. You will get in from the start. Your role will be to both support the first pioneering market using S/4 (Yara North-America), as well as prepare and support the roll-out to the rest of Americas. You will evaluate organizational needs and propose appropriate technical solutions. Duties include developing, testing, and implementing SAP S4 HANA ERP solutions following SAP best practices, as well as building a strong liaison with the business you support.

  • Learn the Yara business unit, regional, and global operations of the manufacture-to-table life cycle of the agricultural chemical industry.
  • Track progress, finances, and schedules of projects under responsibility using Yara tools, processes, and standards.
  • The Solution Architect plays a crucial role in developing the business technology strategy, managing solutions, mitigating risks, and building relationships in partnership with business process areas.
  • The Solution Architect must deeply understand the relevant business processes and their impact on the business's overall success.
  • The Solution Architect is a liaison between business and IT, implementing new initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for implementing technology capabilities, initiatives, and features for a specific business function.
  • Identifying technical solutions to improve business performance and efficiency and create value.
  • Consult across business streams, providing mentorship and contributing specialized knowledge.
  • Recommending technical solutions and determining software development requirements.
  • Provide subject expertise and guidance to IT developers and vendors during the software development life cycle.
  • The Solution Architect maintains connections with global IT organizations to evaluate and bring forth innovative ideas that contribute to developing business processes.
  • Create and follow architecture and functional requirements, technical designs, and application definitions as required to support the business roadmap.
  • Maintain alignment with the Yara Digital Technology Americas Architecture team by validating and adjusting the initiatives and architecture to follow a regional and global strategy.
  • Effectively communicate timely updates to the key business stakeholders and the Digital Technology management team.
  • Provide expert advice on different solutions, alternatives, risks, and resulting implications.
  • Determining whether technical solutions meet defined business requirements.
  • Verifying technical reference information, including user guides, training manuals, and system requirements
  • Ensuring accurate representation of expertise before distributing technical solutions to end-users.
  • Communicate consistently and frequently with the relevant stakeholders of key business processes regarding IT projects or changes that may affect them.

Profile

  • Bachelor of Science degree in related IT study from an accredited educational institution and experience as an Engineer in Computational Sciences, Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial, or related digital fields.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Spanish and/or Portuguese are a strong plus.
  • Specialist in Information Systems and Project Management.
  • 4-7 years of formal training and 4+ years of related work experience.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in related IT study, Six Sigma Black Belt professional certification, Support or Technical certification from SAP Learning, or similar.
  • Knowledge of systems and software engineering to optimally integrate subject expertise in software solution designs.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement technical solutions.
  • Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in multiple, specific SAP business processes is required: Finance, sales and delivery, Procurement, Material master, Customer service.
  • Basic knowledge requirement in ABAP BASIS, Azure or AWS Cloud, Service Now.
