Instant Ink Technical Program Manager Lead

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager for our Instant Services program management team. Our Instant Services are the foundation of our digital subscription businesses, which today includes Instant Ink and Instant Paper. If you have experience planning and coordinating large and complex SW programs, a passion for continuous improvement and a love being an integral part of a high performing team then please consider this role as a wonderful place to help us grow the future of HP!

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact between cross-functional teams including Marketing, Design, and R&D.
  • Scopes and defines the technical design, execution, and delivery of a software feature, solution, or product.
  • Defines the overall approach and quality plan for that feature, solution, or product, and ensuring the on-time delivery, escalating, as necessary. 
  • Refines the requirements and distributes work into customer valued deliverables, and opportunistically identifies synergies with HP's existing systems. 
  • Continuously assesses and improves the processes that comprise the software development lifecycle and mentors, other members of the team, to do the same.
  • Performs program analysis, manages risk, identifies, and influences necessary course corrections, and communicates program status and activities across multiple levels of management.
  • Interprets internal/external business initiatives and will make recommendations to improve products, processes, or services.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Comprehensive experience in developing commercial software products using agile development practices.
  • Strong experience in executing business planning and organizational priorities. Understands the impact of a project to the overall business.
  • Suggest and manage project trade-offs resources/time/scope without impacting customer requirements.

Scope & Impact:

  • Viewed as a subject management expert within the program management practice.
  • Make recommendations that will affect the quality and success of team projects and have impacts on programs that may last up to a year.
  • Impacts efficiencies and delivery times across all software teams takes responsibility for the quality of deliveries.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience.

Per the, Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $162,000 to $198,000 . This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
