Job description

Retail Head will be responsible for overall success of all the Retail outlets within the region, maximizing the profitability and sales volumes generated from retail operations with effective management of the retail operation including warehouse across ME. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise, leadership, vision and guidance, to drive forward the strategic direction of the retail operation to deliver outstanding performance in all aspects of retail.
  • To develop a clear retail strategy for maximizing profitability of the existing portfolio combined with a clear vision as to the future development.
  • Lead on the expansion of the existing store portfolio including warehouse.
  • Working with the business head to support on lease negotiations, surveying and legal lease/contracts with our malls/developers.
  • To lead, support and motivate the retail team, managing performance – this includes direct line management of the retail country heads /area managers, warehouse manager, VM. 
  • Create a team culture of empowerment and development focusing on connecting retail staff to create an delightful customer experience which exceeds customary standards and service levels.
  • Plan, set and manage the annual retail operating budget, reforecast quarterly as appropriate and take steps to address underperformance.
  • To put in place a structured approach to using data in the analysis of sales.
  • To lead on the implementation and evaluation of an ambitious and achievable retail strategy with a set of delivery plans to maximize revenue and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure that the appropriate resources, systems, policies, processes and guides are in place, while ensuring compliance with regulation and best practice.

Job requirements

  • Must have strong retail exeperince in Middle East. Fashion background is preferred. 
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Stakeholder management at the most senior levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum Degree level educated or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent leadership skills
