Vice President – General Manager - New York, NY, or Remote (New York/ NJ only)

This high visibility, high leverage, high impact opportunity will lead the Northeast region as its General Manager and will be responsible for leading teams and increasing our performance. This position interacts vertically and horizontally across the organization and will play an integral role in driving one of our largest regions forward.

Role Responsibilities

Reporting directly to Western Union’s President of North America, Responsible for full, regional P&L ownership and management including both the agent and consumer sides of the business and coordination of GTM activities across functions for the region, including aligning corridor, network, and market strategy teams to ensure optimal performance of the region. 

  • Set strategic direction for region that is aligned to company strategy, including launching and managing key global strategic initiatives as applicable for the region. 
  • Manage the distribution in the region to drive growth in the region in accordance with strategy set for the overall regional, including building and expanding the agent coverage.
  • Collaborate across functions, including corridor, network, market strategy and marketing and digital teams, to drive continuous improvements in customer experience.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on the region, the strategy, people capabilities and the regulatory environment.
  • Accountable for managing and developing team to execute against sales plan and strategy and drive growth in the region.
  • Determines use of resources based on direction and priorities of the organization, including aligning work across the team based on skills and abilities to create accountability. 
  • Responsible for setting effective sales plans and targets and managing team's performance to these targets.
  • Up to 50% travel throughout the northeast region.

Role Requirements

  • 15 years of sales experience, preferably with some financial services background but not required.
  • P&L experience.
  • Proactive sales mindset with proven ability to drive sales forward.
  • Sales Management experience including managing performance indicators, compensation, and achievement.
  • GTM Skills (pricing, prospecting etc.).

Salary

The base salary range is $200,000 – $270,000 USD per year. A sales comp bonus and stock incentives align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
