Purpose of the Position:

The Security Operations Center Communications Officer (SOCCO) plays a pivotal role in maintaining efficient and secure operations at the FMS/FMR facility. As a crucial member of the Risk Management Department, this position ensures seamless communication and coordination during regular operations and in emergency scenarios. The SOCCO will primarily operate from the Security Operations Center (SOC) at either the Freeport Manyar Smelter (FMS) site or Freeport Manyar Refinery (FMR) site, providing vital support to both on-site and external security teams. This role is essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of the FMS/FMR facility, demanding a candidate with dedication, alertness, and a robust ability to manage complex situations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Security Operations Center Management: Serve as the locus of communications for the Risk Management department.

Incident Response: Receive incident reports, assess situations, and initiate appropriate response protocols.

Information Relay: Ensure continuous communication with management regarding incident updates and critical situations.

Emergency Coordination: communicate approved protocols and escalation during times of emergency.

Communication Systems Oversight: Address and direct responses to communication system failures.

Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate effectively with other emergency responders and departments.

Secure Transport Coordination: Maintain communication with secure transport teams, verify vehicles and drivers, and track shipments.

Background, Education, and Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a specialized security or similar role (e.g., communication, visitor management, or receptionist).
  • Knowledge of communications systems such as radio.
  • Garda Pratama Training or equivalent is preferred.
  • Additional training in security industry preferred.
  • Minimum education level high school (SMA) graduation, with additional vocational or tertiary qualifications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of English and proficiency in industry-specific terminologies.
