Overview

Jhpiego is seeking services of Medical Officers for the “Flood Emergency Response Project” to be implemented in 04 districts of Sindh. The project aims to provide healthcare (curative and primary healthcare) services to the population residing in flood affected areas through mobile camps and static centers through adopting integrated approach with other programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide curative and primary healthcare services to the displaced population in selected areas through mobile camps and static centers.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions on primary prevention like immunization, maternal and child health and other communicable and noncommunicable diseases.
  • Supervise and provide training to staff
  • Keep close liaison with government departments.
  • Work closely with local EPI office to enhance routine immunization, reaching refusals and zero dose children
  • Maintain data and keep record of clients.
  • Leadership and team management.

Required Qualifications

  • MBBS recognized by PM&DC, advance medical degree will be a plus
  • 5-6 years experience of working in clinical setting and primary healthcare
  • Experince in similar capacity will be a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of health information system
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), MIS, HIS
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources
