As the Senior Vice President (SVP), Marketing, reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for our mobile game titles. You will lead a talented and passionate marketing team, overseeing all aspects of marketing, including Paid User Acquisition, Creative, Product Marketing, and Social. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, a proven track record in achieving results, and a deep understanding of the mobile gaming landscape, especially in launching and scaling free-to-play (F2P) mobile games.

Success in this role requires strong leadership skills; this person should be able to articulate their experience in setting and achieving objectives of the function with a strong bias for action. We are seeking a thought leader who exhibits the hunger for excellence, collaboration, accountability and a love for the player and the game! An integral leader who continues to build and strengthen our internal culture and diversity.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Set and provide input into the formulation of the strategies of the function(s) at the next highest organization level, then, based on prevailing conditions, executes and/or adjusts the approved strategies of the function(s) overseen. Outcomes directed and influenced have a major impact on organization's short- to mid-term results. 
  • Obtains and allocates resources to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Accountable for the management of multiple functions of a strategically important function.
  • Makes regular input into the formulation of the organization's strategies, then executes and/or adjusts the approved strategies of, and sets the tactical directions for the function(s) overseen.
  • Interacts with top management to adjust plans and strategies of the function(s).
  • Interacts with critical decision makers to convince and influence business decisions.
  • Sets objectives for direct reports, typically vice presidents. Ensures the development of direct reports.
  • Is a proven leader in setting direction for and achieving objectives of function(s) in the enterprise.

Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive player acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals and product roadmaps.

Paid User Acquisition:

  • Direct and optimize paid media campaigns to achieve efficient user acquisition and return on investment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging channels to identify new opportunities for growth.

Creative Leadership:

  • Oversee the creative team in the development of compelling and effective marketing assets, including ad creatives, promotional materials, and in-game assets.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels.

Product Marketing:

  • Work closely with product teams to develop and execute product launch strategies.
  • Craft compelling narratives and value propositions to resonate with target audiences.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance player engagement and community building.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, adjusting strategies accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role preferably within the mobile gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of Paid User Acquisition strategies and tactics.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading creative teams and driving impactful marketing campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of the mobile gaming market, trends, and player behavior.
  • Proven track record in launching and scaling free-to-play (F2P) mobile games.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for this role. The range listed is just one component of Jam City's total compensation package for employees, which may also include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, or market demands. This range is based on a full-time position. This range may be modified in the future. In addition, Jam City provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, life, disability, and accident insurance. Pay Range: $260,000 - $395,000 annually.
