Role requirements: 

  • Work alongside development and infrastructure teams to verify application functionality, usability, scalability and data validity. 
  • Understand business requirements and provide feedback on appropriate testing methods and processes. 
  • Develop, maintain and automate test cases following approved software methodology guidelines. 
  • Develop automated test suites for a variety of software products, including Windows-based Office applications, Web applications and products developed on Linux OS. 
  • Execute manual and automated test cases. 
  • Document test plans, test execution results and report testing activity status. 
  • Maintain customer/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain customer relationships. 
  • Actively participate in the new product requirement definition process. 

Desired qualifications and experience:

The primary qualification is the demonstrated ability to deliver the above objectives, as proven by results from projects of similar scope and complexity. 

  • 4+ years of industry experience working as QA Engineer 
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience in Atlassian stack and Jira X-Ray plugin a plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with software testing platforms such as Selenium, CodedUI, Junit 
  • Hands-on experience with developing and automating UI testing and end-to-end testing using C#, Java, Python or other languages 
  • Experience in creating automated tests for Desktop UI Applications and MS Office-integrated solutions will be a great asset 
  • Proficient with standard software engineering practices such as agile development methodologies, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, CI/CD 
  • Ability to share, learn and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
