Who You'll Work With

You will work in one of our North America office locations as part of McKinsey Technology.

McKinsey Technology is a service line within McKinsey Digital that brings together the best of McKinsey’s technical capabilities to help our clients use technology to transform their businesses.

As part of this group, you will join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation. You will typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm. You will work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients build scalable and secured solutions as well as help deliver breakthrough products, experiences and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.

Our office culture is casual and social, with an emphasis on education and innovation. We have the freedom to try new ideas, experiment and are expected to be constantly learning and growing. There is also a strong emphasis on mentoring others in the group, enabling them to grow and learn.

What You'll Do

You will engage with our world-class consulting, engineering and program teams to lead large scale ERP implementations for external clients.

In this role, you will operate cross-functionally in ERP initiatives and translate client business needs to an ERP and business systems architecture while running diagnostics of ERP environments to make recommendations of the optimal enterprise systems architecture. Using best practices, you will architect SAP solutions for deployment, configuration and operations that are simple and have scalability, maintainability and resiliency. You will create scripts, tools and services for clients. You will also facilitate the design of the client’s overall system landscape including: evaluating the client's business needs and determining which technology solutions meet those needs; developing integration plans using API and other tools fit for purpose; assessing network and hardware requirements to deliver the target architecture; and establishing standards and sustainability plans for the design.

You will focus on business drivers and system functionality to influence senior firm and client stakeholders while providing the architecture and delivery of the full ERP and business system vision.

You will be the certified architect on ERP and API/integrated solutions including on-premise and cloud (SAP). You will work side-by-side with McKinsey strategic consultants, leveraging and learning the McKinsey best practices in client service, issuing syntheses and resolutions for problems. The scope of your work will include the transactional core, analytics hubs, and reporting and visualization layers.

You will be a core member of the McKinsey consulting team with responsibilities that range from shaping and implementing strategic products and solutions to ensuring that McKinsey’s craft stays on the leading edge of technology and industry best practices.
