Your Team

Do you want to use your Software Development and Testing skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology? Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with a unique and compelling product looking for the right Principal Software Development Engineer in Test to help us achieve our mission. You will work together with the development team to develop products and ensure that the design meets the needs of testability, craft automated and manual tests to ensure accurate test coverage and execute informal and formal V&V. Participate in helping to move the development team toward continuous integration standard methodologies and developing test techniques and processes that meet regulatory requirements, are effective/efficient, and deliver product to a high-quality standard. The desired candidate will be energized by the unique challenges and opportunities of a fast-growing medical device organization, resolving sophisticated technical problems, and have a penchant for continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement test techniques that are effective and efficient in meeting organizational goals for product quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with development teams to ensure testability of product definition.
  • Plan test development and execution efforts.
  • Analyze requirements and user needs and create test script.
  • Craft automated and manual tests and test plans to ensure proper test coverage. (Feature development testing, Exploratory Testing, Requirement verification Testing, Regression testing, Build acceptance testing, etc..) for Web, App, Device.
  • Perform exploratory test with user interface to ensure proper test coverage beyond scripted tests.
  • Use effective methods / practices that embrace the full software lifecycle.
  • Define and implement informal and formal V&V, identify defects, triage issues, help determine root cause, track issues to completion, and craft test reports.
  • Creation of Test plan, Test suite, Test case, Test Protocol

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent with 7+ years of proven experience as a Software system Test and Verification Engineer in a product development environment.
  • Proven success in bringing customer facing products to market.
  • Strong experience with Test Planning, Test Case Creation, Test execution, Test Result Reporting & Documentation.
  • Experience with Requirement Analysis and Customer Needs Analysis for Test script creation.
  • Strong familiarity with different type of testing, test configuration management and issue tracking
  • Strong approaches with Exploratory testing and bug reporting.
  • Medical Device or other regulated industry test experience a strong plus.
  • Behavior Driven Development and/or Test-Driven Development experience is preferred.
  • Experience with test deployment using Azure Dev Ops.
  • Experience with Robot, Pytest or Cucumber desired
  • Experience with Python desired
  • Additional experience with JavaScript, C, C++, or LabView preferred.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
