Watts Water Technologies

This role assembles water heater and/or components using hand tools and portable power tools.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Assemble and testing of commercial water heaters and burners using hand/light power tools, tape measure and measuring devices, such as torque wrenches.
• Troubleshoot any abnormalities that may occur during manufacturing or assembly
• Read, understand and follow assembly instructions
• Adapt to any new requirements or processes
• Perform day-to-day functions: assembling, 5S Housecleaning, participation in any and all required safety training, power tools and hand tools usage training
• Assist other team members when needed, remain flexible and able to perform other duties as needed

EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent skill set

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical assembly, electrical wiring, hydro testing, plumbing, setup, insulation and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics for wiring and plumbing instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and engineering drawings as needed to build/assemble products
• All other duties as required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. This role consists of extended periods of standing, stooping and walking and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. This position requires the ability to move throughout the plant, office areas, and up and down stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position also required the ability to follow safety procedures including: PPE (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes), Potential Hazards - Bending and Ergonomics - Follow correct lifting procedures.

• WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work in office environment with frequent exposure to a manufacturing/factory environment
• May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
