As a KYC Relationship Officer KYC in Wholesale KYC Middle office team you will act as a single point of contact and subject matter expert for onboarding new customers, actioning incremental business requests and completing renewals and maintenance/remediation of our existing customer profiles.

Job responsibilities

  • Works with Clients and with the Front Office teams to drive onboarding efforts and obtain all necessary supporting evidence to fulfil KYC due diligence
  • Manages client and partner expectations and ensures KYC/AML deliverables are met. 
  • Exhibits ownership of client experience as well as KYC/AML expertise
  • Escalates appropriate risk items and drives issues to closure 
  • Demonstrates ongoing understanding of KYC/AML processes and works through delays and/or inefficiencies
  • Manages client risk and operational risk effectively by supporting the banker in addressing risk related issues with internal partners
  • Independently manages new business and renewal cycle of DDFs with Relationship Management Partnership 
  • Is responsible for timely portfolio management while maintaining quality expectations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum BA/BS degree combined with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in onboarding and AML/KYC or similar
  • Identify and execute process improvements, provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business
  • Experience in financial services with native level English language expertise
  • Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder and client focus combined with the ability to properly identify KYC/AML risks. 
  • Resilient interpersonal skills, ability to partner with internal stakeholders, influencing and negotiating effectively with business partners and senior managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superb time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
