The Opportunity 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Paid Social Media Specialist to join our internal digital agency. As a Paid Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage with our target audience, and drive D2C sales online. You will play a crucial role in analysing social media creative, optimizing for engagement, forecasting trends, and acting as a thought leader in social media for our brands.

  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies for the year, projecting results and outlining key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Create a list of industry average benchmarks in each market to evaluate the performance of our social media campaigns. Monitor key metrics such as engagement rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and cost per acquisition to assess the effectiveness of our strategies.
  • Develop and segment target audiences for each stage of the funnel, conduct audience testing, and continuously optimize targeting to maximize brand reach and conversions.
  • Prepare regular social media reports, providing insights and analysis on key metrics, campaign performance, and audience engagement.
  • Manage social media ad scheduling for a variety of brands, ensuring effective budget allocation and campaign delivery across various platforms.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks on ads scheduled by other team members to ensure all ads meet the optimal standards in terms of content, targeting, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends on TikTok and forecast emerging trends, providing recommendations on how our brands can leverage these trends for maximum exposure and engagement.
  • Drive direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales online by implementing strategic social media initiatives, optimizing conversion funnels, and collaborating with the performance marketing team.
  • Act as a thought leader in social media for our brands, staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Source and brief influencers for influencer marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand values and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the creative director and videographer to ensure sufficient content is captured during shoots for repurposing with social media trends throughout the year.
  • Analyse social media creative and provide suggestions for optimizations to improve engagement and drive better results.
  • Responsible for implementing & optimizing social pixels and catalogues to drive performance

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • 3rd level qualification in Marketing /Digital Marketing or a related field or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years’ as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and driving D2C sales online.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest, and the ability to create engaging content tailored to each platform.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse social media data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Strong creative mindset and demonstrated ability to think outside the box, bringing innovative ideas to social media campaigns and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and driving innovation.
