Sales Engineer (Motion) - Ile de France m/f/d

In this position, you will join the Motion business in ABB. From the connected smart home to the 4.0 industrial enterprise, become an ambassador for an innovative brand and play your part in its growth. Reporting to the Motion France Sales Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and developing the network of distributors, system integrators and end-users in the Ile de France and Centre regions, for innovative MOTION products such as motors, drives, rotating machines and PLCs. You will use your experience and motivation to develop lasting relationships with customers by identifying effective solutions to meet their needs, particularly around energy efficiency and decarbonization programs.

Your responsibilities

  • Penetrate the specialized motor and drive distribution market
  • Create added value for customers (distributors, end-users, installers) and ABB by being a driving force behind their proposals
  • Monitor direct and indirect customers (distributors, end-users, installers)
  • Prospect and develop sales with new customers
  • Deploy national distribution strategy in the regions
  • Manage and develop the electrical and electromechanical technical distribution network
  • Draw up a detailed action plan for each sales outlet and ensure its successful implementation
  • Become a recognized player in the region (regional professional networks, local representatives, etc.)

Your background

  • At least 2 years' higher education in electrical engineering, supplemented by a Master's degree in sales and/or marketing in an industrial environment
  • More than 5 years' experience in direct sales and sales management, in an industrial sector (e.g. Process,...) and/or critical infrastructure (hospitals, data centers, airports,...) and distribution, ideally in the field of motors and drives
  • Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling in the systems, solutions, products and services categories
  • Understanding of contract negotiation, risk management, commercial and legal terms
  • Mastery of SFDC (SalesForce) required
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, customer-oriented mindset, professional attitude and winning demeanor
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French imperative
  • Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business
