About the role

Muon seeks a Supply Chain Manager to join our Operations Team, and will be responsible for procurement of custom and COTS components, supplier management and material data reporting for Muon. Our Supply Chain Manager role requires some hands-on tasks, requiring candidates to be local to the Bay Area. 

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of procurement workflow with team; Material forecasting, RFQ’s, PO’s.
  • Purchase Order project management, running vendor meetings, alignment of deliverables with Muon Space and supplier technical teams.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to support audits, strategic planning, and long term material negotiations.
  • Create and issue material reports including clear to build, inventory reports and costed BOM.
  • Maintain supplier database to ensure a reliable source of data and compliance material.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Create documentation, Provide guidance, and training to team on procurement processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
  • Analyze market trends and stay up-to-date with industry developments to identify potential opportunities for quality and process improvements.
  • Work with the team on integration of PLM and MRP / ERP toolset, and data verification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or 5+ years experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in procurement management, 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience with MRP / MES, or ION 
  • Experience in PLM Duro or Arena
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online

At Muon Space salary is only part of our total compensation package. In addition to salary, Muon Space provides equity compensation as well as benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, and an employee development program. The salary range for this role is 100K-200K and will depend on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.

This position requires access to export controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency.
