Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD area. NAVAIR has undertaken an organization-wide initiative to implement a Systems Engineering Transformation (SET), which will reengineer the entire systems acquisition process. The goal is to incorporate the latest approaches in Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and requires sets of related models that describe and analyze the desired systems. The selected candidate will guide and develop the system models required to support the Live, Virtual, and Constructive training systems in meeting program milestones.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Supporting program modeling activities by developing and maintaining SysML models in Cameo Systems Modeler in coordination with program and SET subject matter experts.
  • Reviewing existing models and documentation to determine compliance with best practices in Systems Engineering and MBSE.
  • Developing and maintaining solutions to modeling challenges that support the interoperability and modeling goals of the program office and mission objectives.
  • Collection and verification of information to be included in modeling efforts, including coordination with both internal and external program stakeholders.
  • Working to develop tools, presentations, and processes to support communicating the status of modeling efforts to program leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Support program MBSE implementation efforts by providing MBSE related information and training as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of experience related to the responsibilities listed above
  • At least 3 years of working with SysML Models in a professional environment.
  • Experience developing SysML models at the project and system level.
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Magic Draw, or similar SysML based modeling software.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current / active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.
  • Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
