We are looking to hire an experienced Systems Engineer to join our DevOps team. This small, nimble org is critical to the success and stability of Nextdoor’s highly privatized and distributed infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be part of the team responsible for transforming the Nextdoor development environment into a high-performing, build-and-deploy machine. As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll directly contribute to the systems architecture, deployment and automation frameworks and numerous open sourced projects. We're looking for someone who has a passion for building great infrastructure, working with cloud computing, and believes in automating everything. Puppet, Python and Ruby will be the day-to-day languages: the infrastructure already leverages tools like Apache Zookeeper, Puppet, ElasticSearch, Flume, Hadoop and more. We're looking for people who love leveraging (and contributing to) open source projects. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, experienced team and take on a significant role in the company's development.
