Summary of Position

STARZPLAY is our premium SVOD service for international markets. We are expanding our global footprint and are looking for an International Content Marketing Manager to support this expansion. 

The Manager, International Content Marketing reports to a Senior Manager of Content Marketing in our Santa Monica office and the focus of this role is to build world class campaigns for our licensed and Original titles. The role will partner with some of the best storytellers across the world and help them bring to life their content at Starzplay, across a range of platforms. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced marketing team and bring the joy of premium content to entertainment fans around the world. 

Responsibilities

  • The Manager is responsible for taking a lead role in the marketing and creative strategy, planning, analysis, and execution of the title campaigns in our international markets
  • You will be the champion for your titles across the organization and with external partners, including digital marketing, creative services, social, legal, and operations. This is a dynamic, challenging role with variety, great visibility across the organization, and exceptional learning opportunities
  • Create international campaigns and creative that cut through, stand out and lead the streaming industry
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager and the VP of Content Marketing on campaign strategy alignment and development
  • Oversee creative development for international title campaigns (including toolkits: trailer, cutdowns, key art), optimizing existing workflows and developing new ones
  • Oversee content deliverable flow in-house, brief creative teams and provide notes and feedback throughout the creative review process
  • Work with localization, creative and post-production teams to localize, version, and deliver international campaign creative assets for publicity, direct response, media, social and partner teams as needed
  • Adapt domestic marketing materials, positioning and campaign elements for STARZ Originals for our international needs
  • Develop and manage partner relationships; communicate international campaign goals, present creative and deliver assets to multiple partners, such as Apple and Amazon
  • Proactively manage international media plans by executing placement and asset creation to ensure on-time deliverables and efficient campaigns
  • Consolidate key information into on-brand, visually appealing decks and pitch your titles in various venues, from informal team calls to large-scales meetings with partners
  • Lead dialogue on projects at marketing team meetings, discuss upcoming deadlines and communicate updates as needed
  • Actively contribute with marketing expertise and insights to build a smarter, collaborative, and successful organization

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, and / or equivalent experience in a consumer marketing role
  • Previous experience in brand or content marketing or in Media, Direct-to-Consumer, Entertainment, and / or Digital Media, social media, display and rich media
  • Minimum of 4 years + work experience. International marketing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of the entertainment landscape, especially streaming business models (SVOD)
  • Passionate about the entertainment industry
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a high attention to detail, you are a concise and clear communicator, strategic thinker, resourceful, and you are able to initiate change with positive enthusiasm
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of how to deliver in a complex environment, managing different levels of priorities
  • Strength in working with fast moving cross-functional teams towards building seamless and integrated marketing campaigns

Nice to Haves

  • Second language (Spanish, French or German) is a benefit but not mandatory
  • Experience developing creative for entertainment a major plus
  • Knowledge of Workfront
  • Proficient with Mac, Google sheets and Google Docs
