Job Description The Summer Analyst program is a four-month program that will be of interest to those individuals seeking practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic investment and corporate banking environment (corporate and government finance, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, and project and leveraged financing) prior to completing an HBA/BCOM university degree. As a summer analyst you will work as members of a variety of client and transaction teams. The objective of this program is to identify exceptional candidates for full-time Analyst positions at BMO Capital Markets upon graduation. As such, select Summer Analysts may be given offers for full-time employment at the completion of the summer term. Responsibilities Researching specific companies and industries Preparing securities analyses and valuations Detailed financial modeling and maintaining specific databases Assisting on written presentations and the development of information memoranda Requirements This position is open to candidates in the third year of their undergraduate degree. We seek highly motivated individuals with strong analytical and communication skills, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Additionally, BMO Capital Markets desires candidates who display exceptional leadership in extracurricular activities. Preference will be given to those students with a concentration in finance, accounting or economics.
