PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

  • Data analytics and insights is the key part for this position.
  • Provide business recommendations and call-out actions thru data cross check and reading.
  • Drive action plan proactively to achieve company target.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning and Reporting

  • Routine: Deliver top level weekly performance tracking to key stakeholders.
  • Region/Account/Category/Division view
  • Product campaign/category/APP type/FTW model
  • SI/ST/ST%/ROS/WEEKS COVER
  • Ad-hoc: specific deep dive to dig out root caused and seek business opportunity. (Region/Account/POS level)
  • Report reading, analysis and provide insights to drive actions thru weekly trade meetings.

Trading

  • Provide stock sharing suggestions based on product performance and inventory level.
  • Lead weekly channel trade meeting, share business status and findings, help the stakeholders understanding the business.
  • Get channel feedback that what’s working/not working in real market, product feedback, store action, and align quick actions for business improvement.
  • Weekly action plan follow-up and track effectiveness, Work with OPS/SALES/TRADING team to ensure the implementation of in season actions.
  • Lead OMNI stock sharing and in season reorder proposal.

Leadership

  • Team development: lead, coach team member to deliver and have strong ownership.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with business partners.
  • Work with commercial functions to drive action based on data led decision.

Inline Buying, Allocation, OMB Planning, SALES, OPS, Trading

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Solid Data analyze skill
  • Business acumen 
  • Product Management or Merchandising experience
  • Communication and presentation skills, relationship management and empathy
  • Strong leadership, persuasiveness, and people management skill
  • Tolerance to stress, high energy, and strong job ownership

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University advanced degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in merchandising planning / buying function, ideally in apparel/fashion design/shoes of which min 3 years in core business related function.
  • Rigorous business analysis - understanding and interpreting data; putting data/analysis/tools in a structured, easy-to-use format; and making recommendations that team can act upon
  • Prefer very good Excel modelling skills and ability to develop useful models/tools that can be rolled out to merchandising and retail teams, power BI skill is a plus.
